eCap presents world innovation at bauma

In 2019, the bauma in Munich was once again the world's largest trade fair for mining and construction machinery. More than 3,700 exhibitors from all over the world presented products, innovations and accessories. A decisive trend at this trade fair was the great demand for electric drives for construction machinery.

As an experienced pioneer in the electrification of drive systems in the automotive sector, eCap is a well sought partner. Having partner HYDAC as a participant in the e-mobility Forum, enabled eCap to present innovative approaches to the electrification of construction machinery at their stand. Interested companies were shown how existing machines can be converted to electric drives and how electric mobility can be optimally integrated into production.

At the same time, eCap and its cooperation partner Optimas, a leading manufacturer of construction and paving machines, were able to present a world first to the trade fair audience. After successful conversion by eCap, Optimas received the first electrically operated S19e paving machine at bauma. The electrified paving machine runs with a powerful 48 V system and benefits in practice from exchangeable batteries.

The eCap team on site was enthusiastic about the lively interest and the open-mindedness of the industry when it came to electric mobility. eCap will devote increased attention to the requirements of the construction machinery industry for integrated high-voltage systems.

We are grateful for the many contacts and enquiries and look forward to the coming challenges in the electrification of all types of (construction) vehicles.
